Warum setzen wir uns so stark für die rumänischen Hunde ein ?

Natürlich gibt es auch in anderen Ländern große Probleme mit den sog. Streunerhunden. Rumänien ist da nur eines von vielen Ländern, bei denen der Tierschutzgedanke so gut wie nicht vorhanden ist.
Auch bei uns in Deutschland gibt es in Punkto Tierschutz noch viel zu tun. Man denke dabei z.B. an die Massentierhaltung, den Schlachthäusern in denen im Akkord und am Fließband das Tierleid vorprogrammiert ist, die Schlachtung/Schächtung der Tiere für koscheres Fleisch, Zuchtanstalten etc.!
Warum also Rumänien?
Das Ziel der Regierungspartei ist, das seit zwei Jahren bestehende Tötungsverbot für Straßenhunde aufzuheben.
Das würde eine noch nie in dieser Form dagewesener Massentötung der Tiere bedeuten.
Das bestehende Gesetz, ursprünglich zum Schutz der Tiere geplant, ist leider das Papier nicht wert auf dem es steht.
Es wurde nur marginal umgesetzt und die Tierschützer damit ruhig gestellt.

Und dieses Gesetz soll nun also verschärft werden.
Das bedeutet die sofortige Tötung der Tierheimhunde, die Straßenhunde werden zum Freiwild erklärt und dürfen nun "legal" getötet werden.
Einige Städte und Gemeinde in Rumänien (siehe Rasnov, Botosani , Brasov etc.) haben bereits mit der "Säuberung" begonnen. Noch werden so fadenscheinige Rechtfertigungen wie Staupe, Tollwut etc. vorgeschoben. Ist das neue Gesetz erst einmal beschlossen, braucht es so etwas nicht mehr. Es gibt rumänische Parlamentarier denen das noch nicht weit genug geht und schon an einem weiteren, noch schärferen Gesetzentwurf arbeiten:
Sie wollen die private Tierhaltung ganz verbieten und Menschen die sich für den Tierschutz einsetzen unter Strafe stellen.
Sollte es dem rumänischen Staat gelingen alle Streuner-und Tierheimhunde zu töten, dürfen wir gespannt sein, was sie als nächstes in Angriff nehmen werden.
Sind es dann die Bettler, die Straßenkinder, die Zigeuner?

Why we are so strongly committed to the Romanian dogs?

Some towns and municipality in Romania (see Rasnov, Botosani, Brasov etc.) have already begun with the "purge". So flimsy justifications still become like distemper, great fury etc. pushed forward. If the new law is decided first of all, it does not need such a thing any more. There are not Roumanian parliamentarians to those yet far enough goes and already in an other, even more sharp bill work. They want to forbid the private keeping of pets completely and people itself for the protection of animals start make a punishable offence. Should the Roumanian state succeed in killing all tramps and animal home dogs, we may be curious what they will tackle as the next. Are these then the beggars, the street children, the Gipsies?
